Around 2 this morning, police say several fights erupted outside Vizions Night Club off Bemiss Road.

While Bryan Brown, 23, was walking to his car by Papa John's, he was shot in in the stomach.

On scene, officers arrested suspected shooter Kenneth Holiday, 21.

They also arrested Freddy Thompson, 18, for refusing to answer questions from police.

Next door business owners say it's unsafe here late at night.

"Sometimes I'm here late at night and that can be dangerous for my clients and that also can be dangerous for myself," said Jeffery Lowe, who owns the Starting 5 Barber Shop next door. "But most of all stray bullets can just travel anywhere and cause it to hit anybody."

Brown, who was taken to South Georgia Medical Center, is expected to make a full recovery.

Holiday is charged with aggravated assault and gun possession.

Thompson is charged with misdemeanor obstruction for not complying with police.

Both suspects are being held at the Lowndes County jail.

Actually Freddy does come from a home with two parents that's not living on the system. Even though, he doesn't have a PhD., he is in college. So please stop stereotyping these young men until the full story comes out. In America we have protections under the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which allows us to not answer questions without legal representation to avoid self incrimination. That's why Freddy is only charged with a misdemeanor offense which probably will be dropped with any lawyer straight out of law school. It's not the responsibility of the accused to assist the VPD in solving their cases.

If there is so much trouble there and it is dangerous as you can see from the report, maybe this place should be shut down.

Kenneth and Freddy look like some smart dudes. I bet they both have PHD's, come from a home raised by both parent's, have great jobs, and refuse to live off "da system". Someone needs to tell Bell Biv Devoe (Freddy) that his dew went out in the 80's along with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I'm bettin Kenny did the shooting cause it looks to me like he's got an lazy eye. Hard to hit something when you can't see scraight! True Dat G!

Is this their mug shot if so they seem to be smiling like their going to be rewarded for their good deeds. If their found guilty I'm sure those pretty boy smiles will go away once they are sent to prison and become someone's pretty boy.
