[UPDATE] Man, Woman Shot in Tift County

Deputies say the shooting took place at 20 Jack Bankston Road at about 7:30 Friday morning.

Thirty-six year-old Darby Hall was rushed to Tift Regional Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. Thirty-one-year-old Kyle Larson was transported to a Macon hospital with a self inflicted gunshot wound. He later died.

We're told that Hall has undergone surgery and is expected to recover. Deputies say that Hall and Larson had previously been involved in a romantic relationship.

"I usually go this way but they used an ambulance to block the road.," says Tifton Resident Jeff Roach.

The road Jeff Roach is referencing to is Jack Bankston Road where Tift County Deputies responded to this home at around 7:30 Friday morning in regards a shooting.

"I didn't realize that had happened," says Roach.

Though deputies won't say who shot who, they are saying the two involved had a former romantic relationship. Deputies say 36-year-old Darby Hall was rushed to Tift Regional Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds while 31-year-old Kyle Larson had a single gun shot wound.

"Life is too short to be fighting with someone you're suppose to love," says Roach.

The national coalition against domestic violence says 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.

Just last Saturday (5/7) another South Georgia community, Iron City, was shaken by a another domestic violence incident that turned deadly. Seminole County Deputies say it claimed the lives of three people. Deputies say Larry Easterwood blocked the vehicle in which his ex girl-friend and a couple were riding... and started shooting into the vehicle right in front of a local convenience store.

"I say that I personally wouldn't put up with it but I guess if you're in that situation things change," says South Georgia Resident Jennifer Hill.

Reports of two domestic shootings in the same region less than 6 days apart are leaving two communities troubled.

Officials at Tift Regional Medical Center say Darby Hall is listed in critical condition and they say Kyle Larson was transported to another hospital for treatment.

Hospital staff says 36-year-old Darby Hall is listed in critical condition at Tifton Regional Hospital.

Tift County Sheriff's deputies say, 36- year-old Darby Hall, was treated for multiple gunshot wounds and remains in a local area hospital for treatment.

31-year- old Kyle Michael Larson, was air lifted for treatment of a single gunshot wound. Deputies say the two individuals had a former romantic relationship.

Deputies say the incident occurred at approximately 7:30 this morning at Hall’s residence.

Deputies say both individuals are still alive.
