Savannah, GA (AP) - A Savannah man has been indicted on murder
charges in the August killing of a man who had posted an ad to sell
his motorcycle on Craigslist.
A Chatham County grand jury on Wednesday indicted 26-year-old
Brandon Kent in the killing of 26-year-old Thai Lam.
Police say Lam was shot to death in the garage of his home after
meeting someone there to sell a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle he'd
advertised on the website.
Kent also faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly
weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime,
armed robbery with a handgun and fleeing and eluding in an attempt
to escape arrest by operating the motorcycle at speeds in excess of
20 mph above the posted speed limit.
Kent was in jail without bond Wednesday.
