Marijuana and money. That's what investigators with the Special Operations Division found at 3 Meadow Run Circle in Valdosta.
They conducted a search warrant on Tuesday evening... that led to the seizure of 7 marijuana plants worth about $7,000 dollars.
We spoke with one of the lead Investigators. Because he's involved in active investigations we can't show his face.
He said "on top of the seven plants that we recovered there was 370 grams of loose marijuana which was already ready packaged for sale, street level sale."
All in all they confiscated more than $10,000 dollars worth of pot. Antonious Wright and Tiffany Duke were arrested. They were charged with manufacturing marijuana as well as possession with intent to distribute.
Neighbors were happy to see an arrest and no violence. Shantiz Daniels said "It was dangerous because it could have been a drug deal gone bad with them. And innocent bystanders could have gotten hurt."
Last year the Special Operations Division served more than 800 warrants. Most of them stemmed from drug related charges.
Wright and Duke were both taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Duke has bonded out and Wright is still being held there.
