It's last call for last minute tax filers. Monday is the final day to send taxes and returns without suffering a penalty.
You can do so either electronically or through the post office. Most people file their taxes electronically now, but some still like to mail in their returns. Accountants and tax filing businesses are usually jammed this time of year as last minute taxpayers rush to file their returns by April 15th.
If you need more time to finish your taxes, you can file for an extension by the deadline, Monday. But mail dropped off at the Post Office after collection times will not be postmarked for the 15th.
