Moultrie, GA - December 23, 2012

A tragic death in a morning house fire has neighbors shaken.

Police tape blocks off much of the home on Fourth Street Southwest in Moultrie, Georgia. Investigators say the fire started around 4:30 Saturday morning. 36-year old Amanda Lee Martinez was killed.

"She was real kind, real sweet. She was always talking about her kids and all," said Pamela Woodyard, who lives two doors down from Martinez. "And I just want the family to know that I will miss her."

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. You can see where her bedroom went up in flames. Now there's nothing much left but shattered glass and burnt rubble coated in ash. The cause of death was most likely smoke inhalation. Martinez's friends and family will certainly be eager to find out more as details unfold.

"And my heart goes out to her kids and the family," said Pamela Woodyard.

Investigators say her home did not have a working smoke alarm.
