Nashville Police Searching for Murder Suspect

Nashville Police Department Press Release

“The Nashville Police Department in Georgia has released the name of their suspect in the shooting at the Blue Swan night club at 800 E. Marion Ave. in Nashville at about 2:00 am on Saturday March 15, 2014 which led to the subsequent death of 23 y/o Cornelius Rashawn Miller of Lakeland, GA.

He is identified as 31 y/o Kelvin Eugene Brown Jr., also known as Kevin Brown.

Brown, who is described as a black male 6’ tall weighing about 160-170 lbs.,
is currently at large possibly driving a tan color Chrysler PT Cruiser.

A warrant for the arrest of Brown on the charge of Murder has been issued and he is to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Anyone coming in contact with Brown or knowing his whereabouts are asked to immediately call 911.

Nashville Police Chief Chuck Edwards said although the suspect has been identified the investigation continues and anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to contact NPD at 229-686-7666 or the GBI at 912-389-4103.”


News Release: Nashville Police Department

At about 2:00 am on Saturday March 15, 2014 a Nashville PD patrol officer observed a large crowd of people near the intersection of Marion Avenue and Mathis Street and as he approached the area several bystanders began yelling and screaming at the officer telling him that someone had just been shot.

Witnesses told the officer that a black male had just exited the Blue Swan night club at 800 E. Marion Ave., when he shot another man outside the club then fled the area on foot.

The officer immediately called for an ambulance and located the victim later identified as 23 y/o Cornelius Rashawn Miller of Lakeland, GA.

Mr. Miller was transported by EMS to the South Georgia Medical Center – Berrien Campus where he pronounced dead.

Nashville police are pursuing several leads toward identifying the man who shot Mr. Miller and have called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) for assistance with the investigation.

Nashville Police Chief Chuck Edwards is asking anyone with any information about this incident to contact NPD at 229-686-7666 or the GBI at 912-389-4103.
