Some great news for students or future students in the technical college system of Georgia who may want to transfer to earn their bachelor's degree.
The Board of Regents has approved an additional 17 general education courses in the Technical College System (TCS) that can be transferred for credit in the core curriculum of the University System of Georgia (USG). That now makes 27 transferrable courses available in TCS.
"I think it will help tremendously, it's so easy to stay at home and get your core classes done here, get a little bit more mature maybe, before you go off to a bigger school. Then you're all set," said Justin Futch, a student at Southwest Georgia Technical College.
The courses that were approved included more general education science and history courses, among others.
