The Tift County Sheriff's Office has released reports that Omega Police Chief Walter Young was arrested Friday (3/25) after assaulting an inmate.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is handling the case and says Young assaulted an inmate being held at the Tift County Jail, then released him.

GBI says the inmate, who had been arrested for shoplifting, suffered 'serious injuries, including a broken nose.'

Young is charged with one count of aggravated assault.

GBI says their investigation is ongoing.

Way to go Mr. Young. I'm so tired of all the crime, and the bashing of our police officers. You never know what lead him up to this. Everyone has their limits. No 2 wrongs don't make a right. Just remember who do you call when you need help.

Sounds like we need more police chiefs like this so we can thin out the population in prisons and maybe people will go back to work after Obama is gone.
