Around 11:55 Monday night, Lowndes County investigators responded to a fire at the PCA paper mill in Clyattville, according to Capt. Ken Carter, with Lowndes County Fire Rescue.
Fire investigators cleared the scene around 3:15 a.m.
They say five county stations worked the fire that started in a middle building of the mill, and an aerial platform fire truck was requested on scene.
Officials are investigating what started the fire and are releasing few details at this time.
Both Lowndes County and PCA say the fire is under investigation.
The company says they will release a statement Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported.
