At 708 East Adair Street, the City of Valdosta is contracting Habitat for Humanity builders to construct a brand new home.
It's part of the largest housing grant in the city's history that will rebuild 48 substandard houses.
The group overseeing it is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Association, an organization keeping Dr. King's dream alive.
"He said he had a dream," said Larry Henderson, the construction manager for Habitat for Humanity. "And we're all dreamers at the habitat. We want to take and build every house for the people that cannot afford a traditional loan."
The home cost $63,000 to build and will be ready in March.
