Atlanta, GA (AP) - Georgia voters are sending Democratic U.S. Rep.
John Barrow of Savannah back to Washington.
Barrow was elected to a fourth term Tuesday in eastern Georgia's
12th District, defeating Republican Ray McKinney of Lyons.
With 88 percent of precincts reporting, unofficial results
showed Barrow with 57 percent of the vote to McKinney's 43 percent.
McKinney, a nuclear power project manager from Lyons, failed to
attract much attention despite a Facebook endorsement from Sarah
McKinney's shoestring campaign couldn't afford to match Barrow's
constant stream of TV ads in which the congressman touted his
support for Georgia workers and veterans.
