Bainbridge Public Safety officers say Larry Williams was at home around 8 o'clock last night (2/14) when he opened the door to his kitchen and saw flames filling the room.
Williams lived in the home at 500 Washington Street with his son and two grandsons, but he told officers he was home alone when the blaze broke out.
Firefighters say they worked until midnight putting out the flames.
BPS declared the home a 'total loss'. Bad wiring is considered the primary suspect in what caused the fire.
