Following a vote in November, "Da Rajun Cajun Restaurant" can now serve alcoholic beverages on Sundays.
Owner Melanie Hiers pushed for Sunday Alcohol sales to help battle the bad economy.
Hiers says she received hundreds of requests to open on Sundays and now the city's agreed.
"Everyday that you can open helps, you add more to the top line and the way the economy is, we need it," said Hiers.
"Well it gives you another day to come out here. I'm usually down here anyway. So you talk about the county there's two bars less than three miles from this place. They do it anyway so. I like it. I'm glad they're open on Sundays,"said customer John Knight.
Hiers says they don't begin serving alcohol until 12:30 on Sunday afternoons and she says it also helps the city to bring in an extra five to eight thousand dollars a year.
