Valdosta, Georgia- July 5, 2012

The City of Valdosta Engineering Department will repair two city streets, beginning Monday, July 9, that will require the closure of the following lanes:

The westbound lane on Cypress Street, from Leon Street to Martin Avenue, will be closed for road repair on July 9-10, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic will be detoured via E. Rogers Street.

Upon completion of the Cypress Street repairs, work will begin on W. Gordon Street. The westbound lane on W. Gordon Street, from Lamar Street to Smith Street, will be closed July 11-13, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic will be detoured via Lilly Street.

These lanes will be closed until completion of the construction work; however, the lanes will re-open to the traveling public at the end of each day. If weather causes a delay in project completion, the repair work will resume on the next available work day until complete.
