Valdosta, GA - South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta is participating with a different theme every day, from 'Merica Monday ...To Throwback Thursday. Today, SGMC employees celebrated Tiki Tuesday with mock-tails and a Hawaiian theme. Representatives from the hospital say that working in health care can be very stressful, and National Hospital Week gives them something to look forward to each year.
"When you can get the chance to kind of let your hair down and have some fun, everybody embraces it, and that's the whole purpose behind this week, It's really just to let our employees know that we appreciate them, and that we are going to a little effort, and trying to do some fun things, to show them that they are important to us" says Laura Love, with SGMC.
