At 8:53 a.m. Wednesday, Valdosta Police responded to a T-bone wreck on North Valdosta Road.
Officers say A black Dodge Ram turning left on Country Club Drive, failed to yield to a silver Jaguar headed northbound.
The Dodge pickup flipped over... Suspending the driver in the air.
But because both drivers were wearing their seat belts, only minor injuries were reported.
"The driver of the truck was inverted in their truck, up on their side," said Alex Adair, with the Valdosta Police Department. "Still wearing their seat belt. Still hanging there. This proves that wearing seat belts saves lives. This driver could have easily been ejected and this would have been a bad day for all of us."
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says seat belts reduce fatal injuries in pickup trucks by 60 percent.
