Decatur County, GA - Several South Georgia organizations are teaming up to help hundreds of children have a happy holiday this year.

Decatur Community Cares, Decatur County Family Connection, the Salvation Army, and radio station 'LIVE 101.9" are working together for this year's Secret Santa project.

Here's where you can help; you can donate at any of the collection bins set up at different businesses throughout Decatur County

The items collected will help provide gifts for about 1200 needy children in the area.

"What we really need are donations," said Monica Oliver with Decatur Community Cares. "They can donate items like toys, clothes, food; they can make monetary donations. The donations are tax deductible and then having people sponsor families and children."

The Salvation Army in Decatur County is also auctioning off a decorated Christmas tree, which was donated from the store "Elizabeth and Me."

For $5 you can purchase a ticket to enter in the drawing which will be held on December 16th.

All of the money raised from ticket sales will go to helping provide for those in need during the holiday season.

For more information on Secret Santa, to find out bin locations, or to learn how you can help call the Community Cares office at 229-205-7200.

You can send monetary donations to: Decatur County Family Connection at 2500 East Shotwell Street P.O. Box 990 Bainbridge, GA. 39818.
