Shoppers in Georgia are cashing in on the state's Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday

On Aug. 10, shoppers did not have to pay sales tax on back-to-school items.

That includes clothing and shoes priced $100 or less, computers and accessories $1000 or less and school supplies less $20 per item.

Parents say the tax free holiday is a huge help during the tough economy.

"It help's a lot of parents out, especially the ones that have more than two or three kids," said shopper and mother Dorothy Wilson. "The kids are in need of a lot of clothes from growing over the summer, so it's good we're able to save on taxes this weekend."

A study by the Washington Economics Group predicts the tax holiday will increase economic activity in Georgia by at least $475.8 million.

Tax free shopping will continue through Saturday, Aug. 11.
