Drivers on I-75 need to be extra cautious Saturday night.
The Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency issued a Code Red Alert for thick smoke along the interstate. It's making its way to Valdosta from a fire in Baker County, Florida.
The smoke will be getting thicker through out the night causing poor visibility for several miles north and south of Valdosta. Drivers should slow down, use their low beam head lights and keep plenty of distance between vehicles.
Drivers are reminded not to call 911because that number should only be used for emergencies.
