Photo by Johnny Jackson Dancers with the Atlanta Festival Ballet have been rehearsing since February for their spring production of “Jungle Book.”
Members of the South Georgia Ballet , a non-profit organization, practiced for hours Saturday afternoon to get ready for the Ribbons and Strings event happening on March 24th.
The event is a fundraiser to help keep the doors open at the Thomasville Art Center. There will be a lecture demonstration starting at 6 o'clock and is free to the public.
"This is actually a fundraiser fro the center of the arts ... it's a chance for the dancers from South Georgia Ballet to do some unique and diverse repertoires," said Dance Instructor Alison Bundrick.
The Ribbons and Strings event will start at 7 o'clock on Thursday.
