The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute said the health of a community depends on many factors - ranging from health behaviors, education and jobs, to quality of health care and the environment.
After releasing a report comparing the state counties... the rates in southwest Georgia for teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and obesity are high.
"But I guess it's a matter of people caring about their health or not which they should I would encourage everybody to take better care of themselves so the number can be higher," said Thomasville resident Lisa Turner.
Thomasville Ranks 78 out of 156 for the health of its people and the neighboring county of Quitman ranks 154 out of 156.
