Valdosta, GA - The Community Depot of Valdosta will hold their first annual Charity Auction on Saturday to benefit local non-profits.

Doors open at 5:30 Saturday evening at Mathis Auditorium in Valdosta. The event will feature a silent auction and a live auction with 100% of proceeds going to three local charities: Easter Seals, the Humane Society, and The Red Cross. On the auction block you'll find everything from a bed set to a World Series baseball.

"There's a lot of items that we get that are high end items, such as Gucci purses or furniture that are antiques and so we decided that we will probably hold an auction once a year and this will be our first one", says Ralph Jackson, Executive Director of Community Depot.

Jackson says the Community Depot has been raising money for the community since last June. Guests are welcome to check out the items in the silent auction when doors open at 5:30. The live auction will begin at 7:00 pm.
