At Valdosta State, President Schloss, professors and athletic coaches are gearing up for the V-State Experience, a series of events to engage prospective students and parents.

Starting in Albany tonight, these campus representatives will be meeting with thousands of alumni to get the word out about VSU.

"We're trying to recruit more students to come to Valdosta State," said John Trombetta, the director of Alumni Relations at VSU. "And show them what a great thing we have here. This is the way to do that. This is the way for us to go into their hometown, talk to them and their parents face-to-face."

VSU's statewide tour lasts until April 14 and stretches from Homerville to Atlanta.

To register, go to or call the university's Alumni Office at (800) 464-3638.
