Thomasville, GA -- April 11, 2012 --
Thomas University is getting ready to break ground on the first new academic building in more than a decade.
The new 16,000 square foot academic building is estimated to cost around $3.2 million dollars. The university expects completion in 2013. The funding from the building came from a capital campaign done by the university four years ago.
"Because of our tremendous growth in enrollment, 67 percent growth in the last 5 years, we've run out of room, so this building is going to give us that needed workspace that we have," said Thomas University president Dr. Gary Bonvillian.
The university will break ground on the new academic building April 17th, 2012. It will be known as Smith-Bonvillian Hall upon it's completion.
