Tallahassee, FL - The Thomasville Police Department just purchased 26 new Automated External Defibrillator machines. The officers got hands-on training with the AED machines today at the Southwest Georgia Technical College. TPD now requires all of their officers to know CPR and how to operate an AED machine. "The advantage these officers have is that their not only professional in carrying out their duties but now they are also compassionate in the fact that they can provide life saving measures for the population of Thomasville and Thomas County," said Greg Sonders, Response Source Training Institute.
The Southwest Georgia Technical College setup the class for TPD and the instructors were from Response Source Training Institute in Thomasville.

The Thomasville Police Department hosted hands on training for all the officers to learn how to operate AED machines this morning.
The department just purchased 26 new AED machines to all be installed in the police cars. The officers will now be required to be certified in CPR and in operating the AED machines.
The training took place at Southwest Georgia Technical College.
