Thomasville, Georgia- August 28, 2012
Residents in Southwest Georgia are also preparing for the possible arrival of Isaac.
There was a steady flow of people visiting local hardware stores and grocery stores on Tuesday.
Most people said they were stocking up on batteries, food and lots of water.
Thomasville was hit hard back in June 2012 with flooding. Some folks said they want to be ready in the event Isaac impacts their area.
"I moved my patio chairs in and moved some hanging baskets down so if the wind comes," said Dotty Thompson, a Thomasville resident. "I have bottled waters and plenty of goodies to eat, so I feel comfortable with the situation."
Emergency officials say when preparing for bad weather, it's also crucial to have a plan organized for your pets in case of an evacuation.
