Thomasville High's Lady Bulldogs Softball Team headed to the mound, for their first game on their own turf.
They say it took more than eight months from start to finish to create their own softball field funded by S.P.L.O.S.T dollars.
The team of 14 took on Echols County High School Tuesday night, August 8th. Even though the bulldogs lost by one point, they say they left with all the bragging rights.
"All the girls were very excited being able to practice here having a locker room right here. Everyone's emotions are running high," says Thomasville High's Head Softball Coach Ron Okuinn.
Okuinn says the Bulldogs have nine more home games, and he's looking forward to seeing folks from the community come out to show their support.
