Thomasville, Georgia- June 28, 2012
Fourth of July is less than a week away, and one local town is already gearing up for the big day.
Every year hundreds of people in Thomasville come out for the 4th of July celebration at Remington Park and this year is no different.
Thomasville's Tourism Coordinator, Sherri Nix, says guests this year can expect good-ole fashion fun for the whole family.
"We have lots of children's games, arts and crafts, wonderful food vendors with all your favorite holiday foods; hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes. All the good things we like and think about for the holiday," she said.
Nix says this year they're expecting around one thousand people.
Festivities will kick off on Wednesday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
