Idalou Carter's daughter, Darlene Gaskins tells us her mother was sleep Tuesday morning when strong winds and thunderstorms forced a 90 foot tall pine tree to fall on her home.
Gaskins says her mother is doing fine but is devastated by the accident.
Clean up crews spent the day working on the home and say it's a miracle the house is still standing.
"It's no wonder this house didn't already cave in. It's the worst one we've seen so far," said Scott Barton.
Crews tell us they've removed trees from seven different homes in Lowndes County and say they believe there are a lot more that people just haven't reported.
