Decatur County, GA- Two stores were broken into within just minutes of one another and both incidents were caught on camera.

Investigator Redell Walton with the Decatur County Sheriff's Office said the first break-in happened at the Dollar General along North Griffin Avenue in Attapulgus shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

The man is seen on surveillance video busting through the front door with a baseball bat.

Investigators say once inside he ran around the store looking for items to steal and attempted to take the cash register.

They say he was only inside the store for about a minute and then left empty handed.

Investigators say just a few minutes later, he is seen on surveillance video at Susie Q's, located about a mile away from the Dollar General.

At that store, Investigator Walton said he tried to take the cash register. However, the drawer was empty so once again he left the store empty handed.

Investigators say they were told a black pickup truck was spotted in the parking lot of Susie Q's around the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on these crimes are asked to contact the Decatur County Sheriff's Office at: 229-248-3044.
