Valdosta, GA - "The Valdosta Police Department along with the FBI Gang Task Force served a couple of warrants at 1712 Williams St. after an investigation. We had received several complaints from the area about narcotics activity, large crowds, things of that nature. They were able to address two adults at those locations and also two juveniles were charged", says Lt. Aaron Kirk.

VPD says Wednesday 24 year old LeAndre Fails was arrested on an active warrant for Failure to Appear in court. And 26 year old Simmie Foster was also arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Participation in a Criminal Street Gang, drug charges, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

"Two juvenilles were charged. I'm not sure what their part in the crime was. They were charged with theft by receiving stolen property, one of them was charged with burglary. It's just disheartening to see juveniles being used that way by adults", says Kirk.

He also says an investigation was launched after several residents in the community called the police about suspicious activity. He says without their help, these suspects could still be on the streets.

VPD says their investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

Fails and Foster were transported to Lowndes County Jail. One of the juveniles is in custody with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
