A major marijuana growing operation has been uncovered in Decatur County.

Johnny Davis, 62, and his daughter Audrey Stanley, 36, have been charged with possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, and possession of drug related items, among other charges.

Around 6:00 p.m. on July 3, investigators uncovered around 180 marijuana plants located 15 feet underground.

Decatur County Sheriff, Wiley Griffin, says they've been investigating this operation for more than two years.

"This individual has been in the marijuana manufacturing business for a long time," Sheriff Griffin said. "We have not determined a number of years, but by the evidence that we see, it's probably going to be around ten years. But this is definitely going to shut down some marijuana in this county."

Sheriff Griffin said there was a large work table located inside the house. With the flip of a light switch, the table would move and there was access to an underground bunker. Investigators say it's where the drugs were being grown.

Nine guns were also seized from the house.
