The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office says 21 year-old Anthony Greg Huewitt, 18 year-old Shyla Griffin, and 18 year-old Brittany Johnson are charged with First Degree Burglary.
Investigators say the group broke in to a home on McGoggle Road on June 11th and stole everything from electronics to even guns. After looking at evidence, investigators made a link to other burglaries both in the city and county, including burglaries on Knights Academy and Knights Ferry Roads.
Lieutenant Stryde Jones of Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said, "We have been communicating with the Valdosta Police Department; their investigators. Also, we know that they've potentially been involved in some issues in Atkinson County. Or at least, that's where some of the property was taken to be sold. That's where we've recovered some of it."
Johnson and Griffin have posted bond, but Huewitt is still behind bars. Lieutenant Jones says this is still an ongoing investigation and additional charges on these persons and other people are very likely.
