Lowndes County Sheriff's Office made three arrests in connection with recent burglaries in Valdosta. They have arrested Brittany Johnson, Anthony Huewitt and Shayla Griffin.
According to Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Johnson and Griffin have been released from jail on bond. Huewitt is still in the Lowndes County Jail.
The items stolen by the trio from McGoggle Lane were taken to Atkinson County to be sold but have since been recovered, according to the Sheriff's office.
Johnson, Huewitt, and Griffin have been linked to other burglaries in the city and county including incidents on Knights Academy Road and Knights Ferry Road.
Investigators from the Sheriff's Office are working with detectives from the Valdosta Police Department and the Atkinson County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Chris Prine stresses that the investigation continues as they are still interviewing people and examining forensic evidence that has been collected.
More charges for the trio are likely. The Sheriff's Office expects more arrests in the future related to this case.
