Valdosta Regional Airport Manager Jim Galloway says officials made the decision to delay commercial flights Thursday morning to repair the Aircraft Firefighter and Rescue Vehicle.
Galloway says the vehicle must be operational at all times and if not the airport could face a hefty fine and face having its license revoked or suspended.
Galloway says the airport takes safety seriously and to make sure nothing went wrong a flight from Atlanta was delayed.
Galloway says the airport never closed.
