Valdosta Convenience Burglarized for Cigarettes

Sometime between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, the J & K Food Mart on Old Statenville Road was broken into, said Lt. Aaron Kirk, with the Valdosta Police Department.

Officers say 50 cartons of cigarettes, worth about $2,450 was stolen from behind the counter.

Police say surveillance video has been turned in and they're examining it for evidence.
