Valdosta State University has announced the finalist for their next president.
Dr. William McKinney is likely to be named to replace interim president Dr. Louis Levy. McKinney is currently the vice cahncellor for Academic Affairs at Indiana University.
He overseas an annual budget of $70 million dollars. Dr. Levy spoke about the alliances needed to be successful as president.
He said "a president can kind of get his arms around the student body and the faculty and the staff and the alumni and the community and the region and really do some transformational things. Not just for people but for organizations."
The current annual budget for VSU is over $150 million dollars.
