Valdosta, GA - We have new information that this past weekend's "Azalea Festival" was the biggest ever!
Organizers believe there were as many as 25,000 attendees. That's by their best estimates, but there's no way to know the exact tally.
This was the 13th annual festival and it gets bigger each year. They believe about 20,000 people came to the last one.
Executive Director Aaron Strickland attributes the climb to the growth in vendors and word of mouth. He says it's a regional event that draws crowds from all over.
Planning the festival is a year long process. They'll start working on the next one in just a couple weeks. And next year's may even be bigger still.
