The Thomas County Sheriff's Office says Franklin Bernard Daniels was wanted on a parole violation when deputies saw him stopped at a red light on Saturday afternoon (10/23).

They say deputies pulled Daniels over into a convenience store parking lot, and while the suspect was talking to officers, he sped away.

Deputies say they followed Daniels back to his house on Calhoun St., where he ditched his car and tried to outrun them.
They say the suspect was eventually found hiding in a back bedroom in his house and arrested.

Daniels now faces additional charges including obstruction of justice by fleeing.
