McDONOUGH, Ga. (AP) -- Nearly 30 athletes will compete this
weekend in a tennis tournament in McDonough for wheelchair users.
The fifth annual Geranium Festival Wheelchair Tennis Tournament
starts Friday and runs through Sunday. The Daily Herald reports
that the event is sanctioned by the United States Tennis
Association, meaning players will earn points toward national
rankings. Most of the competitors are from the Southeast.
Terry Nash of the Henry County Parks and Recreation said the
tournament in 2010 was named the USTA's Southern Wheelchair
