VSU and Second Harvest of South Georgia are sponsoring a canned food drive called "With a Servant's Heart"

Collection boxes are set-up on the second floor of the student union and in the West Hall rotunda.

Volunteers hope students and faculty will take time to drop off any non-perishable food items.

"It's very important that students get involved because students need to remember where they came from.," said Monique Byrd, a graduate assistant and the VP of student affairs at VSU. "That at one point in time, I'm quite sure a family member or even themselves, they didn't have the proper food or nutritions that they needed."

VSU will be collecting donations until January 31.

Great project, It's wonderful to know and read articles about someone, like Monique, being self-LESS and thinking of others. Keep up the good work, and God will richly bless you.
