One man is dead after a woman struck him with her car, before fleeing the scene.

Cairo Police have charged 47 year-old Lanet Jones with DUI, vehicular homicide and one count of leaving the scene.

According to the police report, a 57 year-old man was crossing Highway 84 East, near 8th Street Northeast in Cairo shortly after 7:30 Friday evening when he was struck by Jones' car.

Jones then fled the scene but later returned.

She was taken to Grady County Jail but has since been released on bond.
