Roberta Clay, 29, was found strangled to death inside her mobile home on August 1. Investigators with the Bainbridge Public Safety Department as well the Georgia Bureau of Investigations are asking anyone with information to please come forward.

Bainbridge Public Safety Officers responded to the Pinecrest mobile home park off Fowlstown Road on Wednesday, Aug. 1 around 11:30 a.m. Clay's relatives found her dead.

Autopsy results show she died of strangulation.

Investigators say Clay lived alone and was described as someone who typically kept to herself.

They have no suspects or leads, but foul play is suspected.

"There is evidence showing that is is a homicide," said Major Robert Humphrey with the Bainbridge Public Safety's criminal investigation unit. "This is not an accidental death. This is not a death of natural causes."

At this time, investigators say they're still talking to some members of Clay's family, as well as people in the community to see if they can piece together the details of her death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bainbridge Public Safety at (229) 515-8597 or the GBI’s Thomasville office at (229) 225-4090.
