LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Gwinnett County say a woman traveling with her family was killed when a tractor-trailer truck clipped her SUV and left the scene.
Police later located the truck driver who went on to make a delivery in Cobb County. They told WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/16jYaKq ) that he may not have realized he hit the SUV, and the collision remains under investigation. The woman killed in the crash has been identified as 34-year-old Rabia Adan, of Duluth.
The collision occurred about 1:20 p.m. Monday on Interstate 85. Police said the tractor-trailer truck was changing lanes when it clipped the SUV. The SUV went up an embankment and flipped several times.
A female passenger was killed. Two children were injured, but police said their injuries did not appear life-threatening.
