Valdosta, Georgia - May 7, 2011
South Georgia Medical Center invited women of all ages to the Valdosta Mall for Women's Wellness Day.
Health screenings, massages and a fashion show were featured to pamper the mind and body and to promote healthy living.
This year's theme was "It's your time" and it aims to encourage women to make their health a top priority.
"Women take care of the family, they take care of their husbands, their kids, their parents," says Valerie Riley, with South Georgia Medical Center. "And they often times leave themselves out. So, it's important that they remember themselves."
The event previews National Women's Health Week, which kicks off on Mother's Day.
