Members of the South Georgia Regional Library can download over 15,000 books for free.

Using free Adobe software, anyone can download these titles to an e-Reader, including the Nook, iPad and Sony eReader... Or their home computers.

All you need is a library card and appetite for knowledge.

"They can download thousands of books from home or any place they have Internet access," said Halley Little, the public information officer for the library. "They can have access to a vast library without ever stepping foot in our physical building."

Anyone who lives in Lowndes, Lanier or Echols Counties and is a member of the South Georgia Regional Library can download these free e-books.

There's even a smartphone app for it.
