Wednesday, nearly three-thousand incoming freshmen settled into their new homes for this school year.

Parents and faculty along with four-hundred volunteers helped make the transition easier for these first year college students.

John Withers, a parent of one of the incoming freshmen, said its a milestone his son is ready for.

"He's the oldest of our three kids, we're ready for him to start this adventure and I think he's ready to start the adventure also," said Withers.

Freshman will continue moving in through Friday.

It is an exciting, but a somewhat scary time. The first day I moved into Langdale Hall I was so excited, UNTIL I saw my parents driving off. It then became a little scary. Fortunatly, I hd a great roommate from Columbus, Ga. who made things so much easier. eally a terrific person. I pray that these Freshmen enjoy this exciting time & find that person or persons who help them adjust well. I also pray that with all of the violence that is attacking our colleges all over the U.S.,it doesn't infiltrate this wonderful institution. Pray for all of our students on every campus. Study hard, have fun, but be very careful. GOOOO BLAZERS!!!
