VSU is now offering 24-hour dining for students.

The university offers seven different types of meal plans.

All freshmen who live on campus are required to have one but this is also helping to benefit some students who live off campus but get stuck at school studying.

"I think the dining hall being open 24 hours is definitely beneficial to students, there's times your in the library until 11 pm and you've completely missed dinner. I know people who get out of class at seven and it was never open and they've always wanted to eat dinner, said Dana McCallam."

VSU has also recently opened up a Moe's for students.

I wish to express admiration for VSU and their decision. I graduated from VSU in 1980. I lived on campus, our dining experience was enhanced by allowing buffet lines and soft drinks. It added to our educational experience and written with a smile allowed me to gain 20 lbs. VSU is a wonderful university! Community support is great. In my day, a prominant local citizen named Mrs Langdale opened her home and served breakfast on Tuesdays @ 6 am . Mes Langdale has passed...I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities afforded you.
