Langdale Ford helped raise more than 12-thousand dollars for Lowndes and Valdosta High Schools by allowing residents in the area to test drive vehicles on Saturday.

Ford gave 20-dollars per person that did a test drive and that money helps to fund the Lowndes High band's trip to Philadelphia this year to participate in the Thanksgiving day parade.

"This was something that probably without this fundraiser we would have had a lot of kids that couldn't participate in the trip. That's how invaluable it was to us," said Lowndes High Band Director Jon Bowman.

More than six-hundred people came out and test drove vehicles in support of the event.
